| Hey Friends, I'm from Central America. Specifically from Panama City, Panama. I own a nissan B15 2006 model and I finally finished my payments at the bank so the car is mine now and I can fully put some money in my engine. I was looking to buy some front lip, wheels amount other things and I found in amazon a book named How to build performance Nissan Sport compacts which I looked and one article had a user that referred me to this website so I was wondering if someone can give me some great ideas to pimp my ride from here and put some $$ into my engine. Of course we are not to bad here customizing cars but it's always good to have a 2nd opinion and I found your website interesting. Also I saw pictures of B15 engines swapped with Altima V6 engine in google. Is that something that really works. A fellow co-worker told me that it's too heavy for a B15 then I will need to invest in getting a good suspension kit and the performance of that engine is not going to be like WAO outstanding! because of the car. Any ideas... Here some pics of my humble ride (in spanish I call it my Cacharrito) I got a nice Audio/BMW M3 spoiler type adapted to my car but some &%^$(#$@ guy saw my car in a public place and stole it. PS: I took these pictures when I was selling my car. But due to the fact that all interested people was only offering me $4,000 or 4,500 which is nothing considering that NISSAN has a high resell value here in Panama I just decided to keep the car and put some power to it. I'm just wondering... Mine is Japan Spec and yours should all be U.S of course but something should fit. |

| swap out the engine for a ve or some sort of sr20det. depending how much power you want. from what i can tell it doesnt look "japan spec" at all. so most things should fit fine. what are you going to do with the car? drag? auto-x? track days? just street? that would help in what direction you should take your mods to. |

| yo nice b15... i know a good amount on these cars because i too used to be a b15 owner... first of all to 93sapphire, there is no ve engine for nissan unless u are talking about doing a rwd conversion and using a g8 engine swap.. sorry not trying to be a smart ass or nothing just letting him know so he doesnt waste time looking for a ve engine... here is what i would do if i was u...
1st buy a can of black spray paint and clear coat and paint your front grill... 2nd buy a nismo lip 3rd get some 2004-2006 se-r spec v side skirts 4th get a rear nismo lip 5th lower the car 6th get some se-r spec v rims "2002-2003 spec v rims wont clear brembo calibers if u want to do that conversion" 7th get some 04-06 spec v tail lights... i went with led and sprayed them to look like specs...
thats what i would do if i u wanted to make your car look nice but at the same time have a little sleeper look
as for power, yes the v6 altima engine will work... but i would go with the maxima engine instead as these swap has been done over and over many times already and are the same but the wiring is easier... the engine u are talking about is the vq35de and do not get one from a 350z as it wont fit because its rwd... btw no they arent to heavy with for the sentra... b15s with a stock vq swap runs 11-12s all day with slicks... this engine swap will cost u alot as u need a custom downpipe, mounts and a maxima bell housing... this swap should not be done unless u have the money, time and skills to fab parts as they dont sell kits yet... they do however do installs and there is a company that does these swap for b15 owners... if u wanted to get some good power and have $2-3k to spend, i would just do a qr25de swap aka spec v engines....
if u have any questions just email me at specv_wi@hotmail.com btw there is no japanese spec b15s |

| ok first thing you need to do is not listen to this guy ^ since he is 100% clueless about anything. rwd ve? who is your crack dealer? um its called google? have you heard of it? if you are so keen on b15's havent you heard of the "dog car" ? you know the most successful b15 race car around? wait what engine does that car run? oh yeah a ve.
here is a step by step on how to swap one.....

| u mad bro??? sorry about the miss understanding but by ve i thought u meant the first letter or 2 of an engine... not the last... i thought u were trying to say something like ve20de or something...where im from if someone trying to refer to an engine, we say the first letter or 2 not the last bro... u know like ka or sr or rb... thats where i got it wrong so no need to get mad... and by painting the grill and tail lights i mean like this.... before after looks just like se-r tail lights but in led before his front grill after btw nice 240... i am here too because of 240s and no i am not 100% clueless when it comes to b15... probably know more then u just like u probably know more about 240s then me... i never take advice from people who gets mad easily and judge people by what they say/do without seeing the outcome lmao |

| First and for most, there is such thing as a FWD VE, the SR20VE. Also they never offered the VE in RWD, the people that have them had to use an adapter kit.
I owned a B15 for many years. You have a few choices:
1. Do a VQ35DE swap, you can use and altima or a maxima engine, no difference. The swap is challenging, if you have limited knowledge or tools, dont try it.
2. Do an SR20 swap, this is a little easier that the VQ swap, but still requires skill.
3. Do the QR25DE swap, this would be a somewhat simple swap. The QR is ok for bolt on mods, but anything turbo and super charging it can lack in reliability.
4. Mod what you have now.

| i like my sr a lot. my buddy has a ka-t that rips pretty good. either way i suggest running a speed density ecu. both our cars run them and it was the best money both of us have spent. |
